The much-loved pastor of a popular Helston church has moved to pastures new.
Pastor John Townley, the founder of the Light and Light Church in Helston and also Penzance, is moving to St Austell to set up a church there.
Taking his place in Helston is Pastor Michael Bretton, who officially took his first service on January 1.
Now three weeks in, Pastor Bretton told the Packet that he and his young family have settled in well after moving from Carnforth in north Lancashire to take up the role.
Pastor Bretton said: “We’re excited about the challenges, being part of the church and getting to know the community and serving them. We’re still finding out feet, but we’re excited about being here.”
