TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH: The service on Sunday was united with Wendron Church for Christian Unity, led by the Rev Stevens and Canon Miller. Janet Hearn was the organist with Thomas and Samuel receiving the collection. Marjorie Richards brought the flowers and the lessons were read by two members from the church and Rex Tremayne from Trinity.
Gillian Bowles took the children’s time. Her theme was light and she lit a candle saying how Jesus was the light of the world.
Alan and Rex made a cross with two planks of wood. Canon Miller put a red flower to signify regret and Mr Stevens a white flower to signify hope for the future.
Canon Miller led the Prayers of Intercession and closed with the Benediction.
