Traffic backed up all the way to Falmouth during morning rush hour on Tuesday after an accident close to the Treluswell roundabout.
The crash involving two cars at around 8.30am left the road strewn with debris and a diversion was set up through Poonsanooth.
However a broken down bus blocking vehicles on that route left drivers with along wait before traffic started moving again.
Police report that traffic started moving again in single file at 10.30am The collision 600 yards past the roundabout left one female driver in her mid twenties with neck injuries and she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
