The Tolmen Centre, Constantine presents The Penny Dreadfuls in “Aeneas Faversham Forever”.

This will be for one night only on Saturday, January 31 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £8 (concessions £7 and children over ten £4) - Box Office 01326 341353 The Penny Dreadfuls are described as a trio of Victorian humourists who perform a unique brand of sketch comedy across the UK. Formed in 2006 and now regular star features of the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy festival, they base their shows on the heroic but ultimately incompetent Faversham family and their zany adventures. Their latest show – Aeneas Faversham Forever – was another starry success at the 2008 Fringe, gaining numerous five star reviews, ‘critics pick selections’ and selling out night after night. It also won Best Comedy Show at the 2008 Brighton Comedy Festival. One critic describes it as "a comic masterpiece" and another "ridiculously good"

We are only able to bring this great comedy to the Tolmen Centre as a result of financial help from Venue Cornwall – an Arts Council agency which is committed to bringing unusual and high quality performance to Cornwall - shows which otherwise would not be seen in our far flung county. This is the first of three sponsored shows this season, and we gladly acknowledge the help received, which has enabled us to put on shows of a quality (and cost) which would be impossible for us on our own.
