p> Police have confirmed that two casualties have been airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle collision near Truro just over two hours ago.
A red Fiat Punto and a red Peugeot 306 collided B3284 at Allet, near Truro.
Police officers, fire fighters and the air ambulance were called to the incident and the county council Highways department has now arrived, together with recovery vehicles to clear the road.
Currently the road remains blocked.
A police spokesperson said the extent of the injuries sustained by causalities is not yet known, but two people were airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske.
