The Maritime Museum’s Minnows sessions are back, bigger and better than ever for 2009 on Friday January 30.

Museum Minnows at the Maritime Museum are multi-sensory sessions designed to stimulate a whole range of senses and are tailored specifically for children under five. The sessions also include spell-binding storytelling and a magical trail around the Museum.

It’s also a great chance to escape this relentless bad weather by sheltering with other Mums and Dads with kids the same age.

Education Assistant Debs Rogers says: “At the moment our Minnows sessions seem to be a bit of a hidden gem. The feed-back from parents is always that they can’t believe they get all these great activities without having to pay any additional charges. It’s become a great excuse to catch-up with friends, let the children take part in some wonderful interactive fun, relax in the company of like-minded individuals and enjoy everything the Museum has to offer. You might have thought that museums were for an older generation, but with our Minnow sessions you couldn’t be more wrong.”
