FLUSHING METHODIST CHURCH: The congregation welcomed members of St Peter’s Church for the annual service of Christian Unity. The service was led by the Rev Rose Westwood and the organist was Morwenna Bennett.
The Lessons were read by John Ollerenshaw and Luke Bennett representing the respective churches and the sermon was preached by the Rev Andrew Stevenson, priest-in-charge.
In his sermon Mr Stevenson spoke of the different denominations of the Christian church, in which each have their own individual approach to worship, yet overall working for God’s kingdom on earth.
At the conclusion of the service The Peace was passed amongst the congregation.
