ST BARTHOLOMEW'S CHURCH: Sunday's services for the third Sunday of Epiphany, the Conversion of Paul, was taken by Father Harry Pugh. Francoise Ziemann and Maureen Williams read the lessons at the 9.30am service and Esther Brown led the intercessions.
This week's services will be on Thursday at 10am (Holy Eucharist) and Sunday at 8am (Holy Eucharist BCP) and 9.30am (Solemn Eucharist, blessing of candles and procession, to celebrate Candlemass, the presentation of Christ in the temple). Please note there is no Tuesday evening service until Lent. Choir practice will be on Wednesday at 7.15pm.
St Bart's is holding a Sunday lunch at the Lion and Lamb, Ashton on Sunday, February 1. Names to Maureen Williams by Thursday, January 29, please. Offers of transport would be appreciated.
