Resurfacing works will take place in Helston on Godolphin Road and Wendron Street from Monday 9., February 9, for a week.

Cornwall county council has apologised in advance for what will be “unavoidable disruption” involved in carrying out these important works.

CORMAC will be carrying out the essential works which will require a road closure between 9am and 4.30pm. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and vehicular access to properties will be facilitated when available.

The works have been programmed to avoid the early morning and late afternoon peak traffic hours, in order to minimise disruption to the majority of road users.

The dates and times may be affected by inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The works are essential in order to ensure the continued safety of the highway surface for all road users.

The planings from the old road surface will be stored and made available for recycling next year as part of the County Council’s recycling initiative.
