The man behind the Duchy of Cornwall Oyster Farm at Port Navas has taken over as landlord of the Ferryboat Inn at Helford Passage.
The pub closed its doors recently and a question mark was raised over what the future may hold for the popular inn.
Ben Wright, who has been running the oyster farm since 2005, has confirmed he had taken over the lease at the pub.
He said that while no date had been set for the grand reopening, he was "very excited" about the move.
The Ferryboat Inn at Helford Passage dates back 300 years possibly even longer as the ferry dates back to the 15th Century.
The Inn sits on the north bank of the Helford River and enjoys a reputation as a bolt hole for some of the more famous visitors to the area.
