Falmouth design company 20/20 Displays has just put the finishing touches to a £500,000 revamp of Bude’s tourist information and canal visitor centre.

The scheme, commissioned by North Cornwall district council, finished on time and on budget and will form the centrepiece to the ongoing £5 million Bude Canal Regeneration Project.

Jaimie Sibert, managing director for 20/20, said: “Our brief was to create something with a ‘wow factor’ and I think the team have surpassed themselves.

“This was a really inspiring project us here at 20/20 to be involved with. After winning the tender process we were involved in every aspect from conception through to construction.”

The company also wrote, designed and produced the interpretation and information panels.

The TIC features three rooms – the tourist information centre, a resource room that is centred around the canal and an interpretation room, which can be used for education purposes.

Andrea Vaillancourt-Alder, community programme manager for the Bude Canal Regeneration Project, said: “20/20 have left Bude a centre to be truly proud of.”
