The Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth has been awarded a gold award for their healthier eating and food safety for the second year running.
Environmental health officers carried out an on-site check of the hotel's kitchen and facilities, observed food quality and ensured local produce was used amongst many things.
The gold award is a great accolade for Penventon who have recently updated their restaurant menu.
Head chef Ryland Allan said that the team at the Penventon was pleased with their achievement.
He said: "The gold award is a great achievement for my team and I feel very proud of how well we have done to retain it for the second time running. Hygiene and levels of cleanliness are essential and we have been awarded yet again due to the hard work and systems practised every day.
"As part of our environmental policy, we are trying to encourage healthier eating and using local produce is a very important part of this for us. We like to know where the food comes from and that there are low food miles, resulting in fresh, healthy, delicious food!"
