Cornwall is bracing itself for the next big freeze thanks to icy easterly winds from the Russian steps forecast to arrive on Monday.
The temperature is expected to start falling on Sunday, with icy blasts of wind making it feel colder than the two degrees centigrade forecast.
While certainly scarf and gloves weather, the area should escape the worst of the cold weather with the east coast of England bearing the brunt with sleet and snow.
This winter has seen temperatures fall below the seasonal average and with more chilly temperatures on the way it is expected to be the coldest winter since 1997.
