The Liberal-Democrat controlled Carrick council has re-elected chairman Mike Cox and vice-chairman Maureen Davies, of Falmouth, for another year.
"It was particularly pleasing that I was re-elected unopposed," said Mr Cox from Truro.
"I hope this means that council believe I am doing a good job."
At the annual meeting, council leader, Tony Husband stood down after three years in office. The new leader of the council is Lib Dem Councillor Fred Greenslade, who represents Probus Ward.
