Pub chain JD Wetherspoon has bought the Corn Exchange bar and night club in Camborne.
The takeover means JD Wetherspoon adds Camborne to the long list of towns where it owns bars, which also includes Falmouth, Penzance and Truro.
Jon Clyne, from estate agents Christie Co, which sold the club, said: “JD Wetherspoon’s strong appetite to increase their presence in Cornwall, particularly within towns such as Camborne meant the Corn Exchange fitted the company’s criteria perfectly.
“We are delighted that the property has been sold for continued licence use and believe that JD Wetherspoon’s presence will give the town a real lift.”
It had been put up for sale by Grant Thornton UK LLP, joint administrators for previous owners L2 Limited.
