ONE of the most popular golfing in the Cornish sporting calendar, The Lizard Outreach Trust tournament, is being staged at Mullion Golf Club on Wednesday, September 6.
The event is organised to benefit The variety Club Children's Charity which sponsors a number of Sunshine Coaches.
All teams entering the competition should consist of four players with an entry fee of £50 per team.
Mixed teams and ladies teams are welcome and there is also a junior competition.
Tee off times are from 9 am onwards All Handicaps may play, but the allowance will be a maximum of 24 for men and adies 32 (plus four shots).
All play will be from handicap and will be played as a Stableford with the best three scores per hole.
There are plenty of prizes on offer with the top one being for first place which will earn the winners £160.
Second place is £100, third place £80, and fourth £60 in vouchers.
There are also prizes for nearest the pin on the fifth and 16th holes and the longest fairway drive on the 18th.
Food is not included in the entry fee, but meals will be available at the club during the day.
