THE winner of this year's Falmouth Week best dressed shop window competition is Secret Accessories.

Judges for the competition, Mayor Roger Bonney and Suzanne Channon, were impressed by the high standard of the entries this year and even extended the prize-giving to award a fourth shop for its efforts.

The Secret Accessories shop window, on Arwenack Street, was dressed by Libba Woodhouse, who put up a banner with a drawing of the National Maritime Museum, placed shells in the bottom of the display and also included promotion for the Falmouth Classics and Falmouth Week celebrations.

The runners-up were the Animal Welfare Charity Shop on Market Strand, which came second, J O Taylor Opticians on High Street which came third and Wildlife on Church Street which came fourth.

Mayor Roger Bonney and Suzanne Channon, stepping in for Daphne Churcher as acting chair of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, presented a trophy and bottle of champagne to shop worker Naomi Law.
