The Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek is ablaze.

The whole roof of the 13 century pub is well alight and has collapsed into the first floor.

Fire crews are working close to the river and the coastguard and the Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat are also there, to help with safety cover.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service has issued an urgent appeal to residents of Restronguet to keep all their doors and windows closed, due to the amount of smoke billowing from the pub.

The smoke can be seen from as far away as Devoran.

Six pumps from Falmouth, Truro and Redruth are currently at the scene and more are understood to be on their way.

At the moment here are 35 firefighters tackling the blaze The road to the pub – which already has limited access – is closed.
