Motorists are warned that temporary road closures will be in place as the Olympic Torch is welcomed into the county.
With large crowds expected on Saturday, May 19 Cornwall Council has been drawing up plans with with Devon and Cornwall police and the Highways Agency to minimise possible congestion on the roads.
The Council is also providing free parking in all its car parks on May 19, with extra free parking at some council offices.
In Penzance no road closures will be in place and there are no planned closures of Ross Bridge. There may be some traffic disruption while the torch is in the town but traffic will be able to follow the relay until it returns to convoy mode. Some bus services may be disrupted for a short time.
Parking restrictions will be in place along the entire length of Market Jew Street and within the loading bays in Albert Street from 6am.
The Harbour, St Erbyns, St Anthony's, Wherrytown, Causewayhead, Clarence Street, St Clare Council offices car park, Greenmarket, Long Rock, Penalverne and Penlee House council car parks will be free. Disabled parking will be available in all the main car parks.
In Marazion there will be no road closure in operation but traffic travelling through the town from Henfor roundabout will be diverted along the A394 towards Longrock to avoid potential congestion to the torch.
The traffic will also be controlled at the junction of Shop Hill to stop vehicles entering the narrow sections of the town while the torch bearer travels though the town.
The traffic will also be stopped from entering either end of the town during the photo opportunity on Marazion Beach between 9.04 am and 9.10am. There may be a slight delay in bus services but this will be kept to a minimum as buses will be able to follow behind the relay until it returns to convoy mode.
Parking restrictions will be in place along the whole length of King's Road between 6am and noon.
Marazion Station car park will be free and additional free parking will also be available in Folly Field car park (free) Blue badge holders will be able to park in the Marazion Station car park and the St Michael's Mount slipway car park. The Slipway car park will be closed to the general public.
Warnings of any specific congestion problems will be broadcast on local. Information will also be sent out on Twitter, on #DayOne2012, the council's Facebook page, online at www.cornwall.gov.uk, and via 0300 1234 222.
