Motorists are warned that temporary road closures will be in place as the Olympic Torch travels through Falmouth.
The Council is also providing free parking in all its car parks on May 19, with extra free parking at some council offices.
In Falmouth the road through the town centre will be closed from The Moor roundabout to the junction with Avenue Road junction from 9 am to 1pm.
There will be some disruption to traffic during the relay as the Torch bearer will be running along Kimberley Park Road. Traffic will have to follow the relay at low speeds until it reaches the Moor, causing delays to bus services. Information on possible delays will be displayed on the signs on all the routes into the town.
Parking restrictions will be in place on Webber Street, The Moor, Killigrew Street and Berkeley Vale to help the flow of traffic between 7am and 12 noon.
The Hornworks, between Pendennis Castle and Ships & Castles, car park will be free and there will be a free courtesy bus to Events Square end of town. The Park and Ride Ponsharden will have free courtesy buses to Prince of Wales Pier/High Street.
The Dell, The Quarry, The Moor, Well Lane, Gyllyngvase, Pendennis Point Church Street (access before 9am & exit after 1pm) will all be free for the day.
The Park and Float will not be operating as the tide will be too low.
Grove Place, Custom House Quay and Church Street car parks will be closed to the public until 1pm Warnings of any specific congestion problems will be broadcast on local. Information will also be sent out on Twitter, on #DayOne2012, the council's Facebook page, online at www.cornwall.gov.uk, and via 0300 1234 222.
