Motorists are warned that temporary road closures will be in place as the Olympic Torch is welcomed into the county.
The Council is also providing free parking in all its car parks on May 19, with extra free parking at some council offices.
In the Helston area the stretch of the A3083 from the Cottage Hospital to Manlay roundabout will be closed between 6pm and 9pm on Friday, May 18 for the arrival of the Olympic Flame at RNAS Culdrose. This is a closed event which is not open to the public.
Light traffic will be diverted via Gweek during this period with marshals positioned to aid the flow of traffic. However as HGV's and buses will be unable to travel via the diversion route, they will be escorted through the closure. This will affect services 37, 35 26 and 983 and 984.
On May 19, the layby on Helston Road will be closed between 6am and 10.30am allow the convoy to change into torchbearer mode.
Parking restrictions will be in place in Coinagehall Street and Wendron Street between 6am and 12 noon. There is likely to be slight disruption to bus services as the Relay travels through the town.
The Castle Green, Cattle Market , Fairground , Trengrouse Way and Tyacke Road, council car parks will be free.
Warnings of any specific congestion problems will be broadcast on local. Information will also be sent out on Twitter, on #DayOne2012, the council's Facebook page, online at www.cornwall.gov.uk, and via 0300 1234 222.
