A Penryn car dealership has been named one of the best in the UK by car manufacturer Peugeot.
Hawkins Motors, which also has branches in Hayle and St. Austell, has been presented with the prestigious Guild of Gold Lion Award, in recognition of their performance in 2012.
This is the second year they have received the award from Peugeot, which recognises excellent customer service and sales performance, outstanding customer feedback, the latest showroom specification and product availability.
The award follows a successful year of new product launches for Hawkins Motors, including the Peugeot 208 and award winning Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4, the world’s first diesel hybrid car.
Hawkins Motors has also been chosen by Peugeot to help launch the newly restyled Peugeot RCZ sports coupé, the first of many new car launches in 2013.
Director Johnny Hawkins said: “To be recognised with a Guild of Gold Lion Award, particularly for the second year running for all three dealerships, proves we are doing something right as a dealership.
“At Hawkins Motors we are committed to customer care and our strapline: such nice people to deal with, reflects that.
“We’ll be doing our very best to ensure that we score even higher next year.”
The prestigious awards were presented to the top 35 Peugeot dealerships in the UK, in front of the network of over 240 dealers at the National Peugeot Dealer Conference.
Tim Zimmerman, managing director at Peugeot Motor Company PLC, said: “Hawkins Motors should be truly proud of its success.
“It has consistently performed to a high standard and delivered exemplary levels of customer satisfaction and business excellence.
“I’d like to congratulate the whole team on its outstanding achievements.”
