Truro and Falmouth MP Sarah Newton has visited Penryn-based Rebel Brewing, to celebrate the opening of their retail unit.
The Rebel Brewing Company is a microbrewery established by two former University of Exeter Cornwall Campus students in 2010, Rob Lowe and Henry Austwick.
The company supplies a number of pubs, bars and shops in the Penryn and Falmouth area with a range of beers, all brewed on site in Penryn.
The company has now been granted a license for on-site sales, and is open for retail business.
Mrs Newton said: "I was delighted to meet with the Rebel Brewing team, and to hear about their plans for the future. It is a great to see a small enterprise growing, and I am sure we can expect to hear a lot more about the Rebel Brewery Company in the future.
"Cornwall’s food and drink industry is thriving, with an estimated worth of £1.5 billion. Brewing plays an important part in this. There are now over twenty breweries in Cornwall offering a range of beers, many of which are nationally renowned."
The Rebel Brewing Company can be visited at West End Industrial Estate, Penryn and is open for retail business between 10am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
