Falmouth Rugby Club held their annual general meeting on Friday, July 12.

At the meeting, John Bullock was re-elected as chairman, James Instance as vice chairman, and Emma Parkman as hon secretary.

Furthermore, Mike Tregidgo has taken over from Paul Radmore as club president and Danny Trick has become a co-vice-chair.

Earlier in the evening, Mick Stevens won the John Bullock Cup - Club Person of the Year, Julia Rowe was named the Christine Baker Volunteer of the Year, and Mel and Mark Hitchens, who co-chair the Falmouth Rugby Youth Academy, were presented with the Club 150 President Award.

Star player Ashley Searle, nicknamed Cavey, was congratulated for his appearance in over 400 games for the Eagles.

Player Dan Hubble was also honoured, having played over 75 senior games, and was granted his club colours.

The committee expressed gratitude for everyone's dedication to the club and encouraged further involvement, announcing the Annual Summer Volunteers Workforce Weekend.

This will take place on July 20 and 21, from 9am to 6pm, at the Recreation Ground.

Primarily, the club hopes to conduct general maintenance ahead of the new season, and extends an invitation to all to volunteer.

Membership renewals for the new season can also be processed at the clubhouse bar.

Training for both men and women senior sides continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm.

Head of rugby, Tom Spiller, said he is keen to see how the first team performs in their pre-season fixtures against Penryn at home on Friday, August 9, away to St. Austell on Saturday, August 17 and at home to St Ives on Saturday,  August 25.

Additionally, the club awaits the impact of new signings Morgan Drewson from Swansea Uplands, Fraser Lyne from Harlequins Academy/Chichester RFC, and Rohan Ewels from Bath Academy.Wimborne RFC.
