Falmouth Rugby Club cricket team retained the John Jackett Cup.
They edged past the Seaview Inn Old Boys to pick up the big win on Sunday, July 14.
The match celebrated the third year of the cup in tribute to local sports legend, John Jackett.
Falmouth Rugby batted first, with David Jones and Jon Baglow setting the pace.
Jones hit 10 and Baglow 19 before their dismissals.
Other notable performances included Seb Firth scoring a feat of 33, including two strikes that hit cars on the boundary.
Despite nursing a hamstring injury, Dan Hubble reached a respectable 30, and Harry Sandercock remained consistently strong with a 27 not out.
Trevor Ward brought home 31, and Ali Harding added 6 not out.
Concluding their innings on 185 off 25 overs, Falmouth Rugby gave Seaview a challenging chase.
In particular, both Ryan and 'New Dave' from the Old Boys demonstrated resilience, each retiring with 30s, only to return for a second innings.
Outstanding among the bowlers was Jon Baglow, who took four wickets for 26 runs.
Seb Firth also showed worth by capturing three wickets for 21 runs, and Harry Sandercock and Brad Cock collected two and one wickets each.
Despite a sturdy chase by the Seaview Old Boys, their score stopped at 159, with the game culminating on the last wicket's fall.
In his closing remarks, Falmouth chair John Bullock praised all participants' efforts, while highlighting the historical importance of the John Jackett Cup in local sports annually.
