TRAVELLING to play league leaders Plymstock Albion Oaks on Saturday was always going to be a tough ask for the Pirates, writes Phil Westren.
However, playing with spirit and no lack of adventure, in successfully making it over the whitewash on five occasions they very much deserved their acquired bonus point.
Tries were scored by skipper Ben Taylor, Callum Gardner, man of the match Archie Pilcher, Morgan Holman, and Josh Semmens, with Dan Rhys Evans landing one conversion.
Speaking at the end of a game head coach Murray Westren said: “It was another game where we played well for large periods but unfortunately fell on the wrong side of the result.
“The attitude of the lads in a tough away fixture was brilliant, and we scored some great tries, but with the game in the balance we were disappointed with the result and now look forward to cracking on after Christmas.”
