CORNISH Pirates have announced that the club's 'Ladies Day' will fittingly take place on Mothering Sunday when the Cornish Pirates play Ampthill at the Mennaye Field on Sunday, March 10, writes Phil Westren.
A special one-off Samurai shirt will be worn by the team to commemorate the occasion with the match shirts being auctioned after the game in the Yeomans hospitality marquee, in support of both ‘Man Down Cornwall’ and ‘One Voice’.
Both charity logos will feature in the design of the one-off shirt along with the existing kit partners.
There will also be a match day collection in aid of ’Man Down Cornwall’, to support men’s mental health, whilst proceeds from the raffle to be held in hospitality will go to the ‘One Voice’ group who are also providing entertainment on the day.
Organisers for the event have described it as the "perfect opportunity to treat Mum’s and other lovely ladies in your life, or to get together for a ‘Ladies Day out’ the ‘Ladies Day Hospitality." The event gets underway in the marquee from 11.30am. For more information and to book your place please contact our Hospitality & Events Co-ordinator, Liz McLean, email: liz.mclean@cornish-pirates.com
As for match day tickets generally, they will be available at the gates on the day (open 12.30pm), whilst in the meantime they can also be purchased on-line. For further information please visit: www.cornish-pirates.com/tickets
