A number of players have committed their future to the Cornish Pirates ahead of the new season.
Full-back and wing Will Trewin, a proud Cornishman and winner of the team's Most Improved Player award, has agreed to join for another season.
Having previously played for teams including Helston RFC, Truro College and Exeter Chiefs, Will has made 37 appearances in his two years with the Pirates.
On the re-signing, joint head coach Gavin Cattle said: "Will has been a big team contributor who has delivered not only on the pitch but off as well.
"We are naturally delighted that he has signed for us again."
Hooker Morgan Nelson, aged 24, has also signed a contract for the new season.
He previously played age-grade rugby for Wales and for the BUCS Super Rugby team at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
With a tally of 41 games and an impressive 26 tries, he has been an integral part of the Pirates squad since near the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Alan Paver, joint head coach, said: "He has developed into a fine set piece player at scrum and lineout.
"We are naturally pleased to have him on board for next season."
The Australian forward Hugh Bokenham, another to re-sign, has made 22 appearances for the Pirates since joining last September.
Versatile on the field, he is able to play at number 8 or in the second row.
Regarding Hugh's re-signing, Paver commented: "Hugh is a very talented and versatile player.
"He is also a popular and easy going member of the squad, who we are really pleased to hold on to."
Completing the list of returning signings is forward and back-rower Will Gibson.
Since joining the Cornish Pirates in 2021, he has made 63 appearances for the club.
He has been selected more than once for the Championship’s Team of the Week, and has also been a Cornish Pirates man of the match on several occasions.
Paver expressed: "Will is one of those young players who has continued to develop and is a fully committed, hard-working member of the squad.
"It is fantastic that he has signed again.
"Also, it shows good ambition for next season."
As preparations for the new season continue, the Cornish Pirates will be confident with their team line-up
