Carrick Rowing Club were in the winner's circle at this year's Henley Masters Regatta.
Founding member John Poland, 80, and club captain Andy Wescott joined forces with two ex GB London rowers to secure victory in their age group.
They saw off competition from Royal Chester RC in a quadruple-scull race.
Mr Poland was also recognised with the Henley 80 year old Competitors Gold Pin and Citation.
He attributes his continued success to a team of health professionals: "Getting to 80 and Winning takes help from others.
"In particular the exceptional skills of Ty Morgan chief instructor at Tremough gym and his staff, chiropractor Helen Jones of the Leven Practice in Waterside House, physiotherapists Viv Martin and Gareth Herring of Viv's practice."
Mr Poland added: "I have the performance for Henley Gold Medals and no aches or pains, all I need these professionals as well as strong support from Lis my wife."
