Penzance & Newlyn RFC discussed achievements on and off the pitch at the Cornish Pirates' Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The get-together took place at the Westholme clubhouse last Thursday.
Club president Terry Drew opened the meeting, which was followed by a moment of silence for members who had sadly died since the last AGM.
Mr Drew also announced his departure from his position, which the audience honoured with applause.
His numerous roles, including assistant treasurer, club administrator, and most recently, president, over the years were recognised.
Mr Drew praised the Cornish Pirates for their remarkable achievement of finishing last season second in the championship, the highest-ever league finish.
His report also acknowledged the significant contributions of the Pirates Amateurs, Youth Section, Ladies/Girls, Squash & Racketball club, and invaluable volunteers.
In the absence of treasurer Lewis Adams, chairman Scott Dugdale reported that the club is financially stable.
The commitment to the maintenance and improvement of the club is ongoing.
The club has again invested significantly on the pitch and made necessary repairs to the clubhouse during the year.
Upgrades have included new flooring in the bars and security lighting in the car park.
Mr Dugdale expressed satisfaction with the club's financial position and commended Adams and his father, Mike Adams, for their decade-long commitment.
Euan McNeill, chairman of the Youth Section, reported a successful season for the Mini, Junior, and Colts teams.
Volunteer numbers remain strong, helping coach and manage the over 250 players, keeping the section financially stable.
The meeting concluded with occupancies within the management committee confirmed.
Committee member replacements will be sought for Scott Dugdale, who was honoured with the position of president and made a life member.
Four new committee members were ratified: Adrian Bick, Dave Faull, Emma Simons, and Peter Whyte, joining existing members Joff Collins, Rhodri McAtee, and Martin Murrish.
In his concluding remarks, Mr Dugdale expressed intentions to bring Pirates Amateurs under the Penzance & Newlyn RFC umbrella, emphasising unity.
He extended his appreciation to committee members and club personnel.
He highlighted that while there have been many accomplishments, there is always more work to do.
