Pirates Amateurs were not at their best as they edged Bideford away from home to move up to third in the Counties 1 Tribute Western West league table.
Despite not being in top form, they managed to secure a bonus point victory in Devon.
Tries were scored by Oscar Marr, Sam Carter, Josh Semmens, Jake Hole, and Ben Wragg, who also kicked three conversions.
Pirates Amateurs' head coach, Murray Westren, said: "In what was a scrappy game, although not at our best we managed to at least come away with a bonus point win.
"Hopefully, the realisation of our performance will now see us work hard in training this week, ahead of a tough Cup game against higher league side Truro at home on Saturday."
The Pirates now face a challenging match against Truro in the Cup this weekend.
