During this past season Alan reached the 300 game milestone for the Pirates, which is a truly remarkable achievement in the professional era.
Also, in November, he was selected for the RFU Championship XV that faced the might of the Maori All Blacks. Playing in that game was a truly tremendous honour, along with fellow Pirates Gavin Cattle, who skippered the side, and flanker Phil Burgess.
Before the match Penzance & Newlyn RFC's under 7s and under 8s will participate in a tag tournament, there will be a hog roast and BBQ, plus the popular Cadgwith Singers will be present.
Also, in the Westholme clubhouse, starting at approximately 6.30pm, the BT Experience band will be performing live.
Admission on the day is just £5, with no tickets available in advance. Gates open at 1pm.
