The Cornish Pirates have confirmed that an official pitch inspection will take place at 8.20am on Saturday morning, prior to their scheduled Greene King IPA Championship game at home to London Welsh on Sunday (ko 3.45pm).
The Jewson Stand at the Mennaye Field is also required to undergo significant repair before the club can accommodate the public for Sunday’s game against London Welsh.
However, if the weather allows the repairs to take place before Sunday, and that work passes inspection, open seating will be available within the Jewson stand on match day.
The club said it would update on progress via the media and social media as soon as the situation became clear.
In the meantime, current season ticket holders within the covered seating area of the Jewson Stand will be accommodated within the main Grandstand where possible, and we are making every attempt to communicate with those concerned.
Other ticket holders of covered seating will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to the grandstand, space permitting, or ground ticket with the difference refunded.
The club apologised apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
