Wendron United 0 Bodmin Town 3
A flurry of goals late in the second half ended Wendron United's Cornwall Senior Cup dreams and booked holders Bodmin Town a place in the semi-finals.
A brace from Danny O'Hagan, and a scrappy goal by Chris Wright were enough to put Darren Gilbert's side through with a 3-0 win at Underlane.
But despite it being the biggest game in the club's short history, Wendron were far from overawed by the occasion and Paul Murray's side produced a classy performance that belied their Combination League status.
Bodmin, without a game in four weeks, started brightly, putting the 'dron under plenty of pressure early on and forcing the home side to defend deep and in numbers.
But as the game wore on Wendron grew in confidence, and might even have taken the lead on 16 minutes when some great link up play between Justin Searle and Jason Roberts led to a near post cross which top scorer Luke Wort headed against the upright.
Bodmin always looked dangerous going forward, and Wendron's Chris Madeley needed to be alert just before the break to clear Seb Broomfield's effort off the line after Sam Matthews' cross caused chaos in the Wendron box.
Gilbert's side started the second half with real purpose, but Wendron were organised and steadfast at the back, with Mike Brewer, Ryan Tressider and Kirk Davies outstanding alongside Madeley.
Roberts was forced off with a groin injury midway through the half, and with him went Wendron's most potent threat going forward.
Then as legs tired a spell of Bodmin pressure led to a corner, and Jimmy Alexander's delivery into the six yard box found the head of O'Hagan, who nodded in the opener.
Four minutes later Bodmin went two up, effectively killing the tie off.
Former Truro City striker Seb Broomfield burst down the left wing and fizzed a low cross into the box, which found O'Hagan sliding in at the back post to score his second.
Wendron came back at Bodmin, Searle firing wide from just inside the box and Wort forcing Kevin Miller off his line to make a brave save it the striker's feet.
But seconds into the first minute of stoppage time Bodmin scored a third when Wendron keeper Jeremy Brown parried Chris Wright's shot back into play, and the striker found the back of the net at the second time of asking.
