Penryn College entered 14 students into the South West Regional Schools Indoor Rowing Championships at University of St Mark and St John (Marjons) in Plymouth.
There were over 300 students on the day competing in six different year groups and there was some great success for the Penryn pupils to celebrate.
The college saw two medallists from the gruelling competition, with both students recording personal bests in the process.
First of all, it was Gary Underhill who took home the silver medal, narrowly missing out on Gold after a superhuman effort in the year eight rowing group, in which he smashed his previous best record to pieces.
Then year nine Maddy Burley secured the gold for her age group with an explosive row that again saw a new personal best.
