Camborne kept up the pressure at the top of South West One in emphatic style by running in no fewer than 19 tries to overwhelm relegated Sidmouth.
Town's points for column also gained a welcome boost as they produced some superb handling on a Recreation Ground pitch in top condition.
The home side welcomed back Joe Parma at full back whilst Joel Matavesi and Richard Kevern formed a new centre pairing. Will Webster returned at prop and young Andrius Zachrovas enjoyed an hours’ experience as a replacement in the front row.
The Cherry and Whites were quickly on their way to a record league win with the bonus point secured inside the first quarter with well worked tries from David Mankee, Rob Floyd, Alex Ducker and flanker George Hall all of which Mankee converted.
By the time the interval neared six further scores from right wing Floyd, left wing Ducker, flanker Cameron Bone, lock Ben Kemp, No 8 Dave Roberts and Kevern plus three more Mankee conversions stretched the lead to 64-0.
On the half time whistle the spirited young visitors bagged their solitary try through No 8 Gavin Pearson well converted by scrum half Dan Retter.
Before the hour mark the home side had increased their advantage to an incredible 90-7 with Floyd and Ducker completing their hat tricks as well as touchdowns from hooker Sam Bartle and fly half Mankee who also added three conversions.
In the final quarter a rampant Camborne added another five tries through Floyd, the impressive Matavesi, full back Joe Parma, scrum half Dean Pascoe and a 1st senior score for young replacement lock Olly Reynolds. Mankee added four further goals to end the rout with no less than 14 conversions and a personal points tally of 38 points.
Camborne face a major test of their promotion credentials this weekend when they travel to Somerset to face 2nd placed Hornets. The Weston Super Mare based club look the likely champions on current form and ‘Town’ will need a big performance to maintain their interest in the title race.
