Redruth have annoucend that former player Steve Larkins will take over as head coach after Ashley Morcom steps down at the end of the season.
The club said Larkins had been selected for the role from a pool of 'strong contenders.'
The Truro College sports lecturer also played for the Cornish Pirates and Mounts Bay, and has coached Cornwall's county sides at both youth and senior level, winning the Daily Mail Under-18 Cup at Twickenahm in 2009.
He said: "I am really honoured to be coach of Redruth RFC next season.
"Redruth has some real quality players who I am really looking forward to working with. These are exciting times for the clu,b with changes on and off the field.
"The Redruth supporters are always very loyal and are Redruth's sixteenth man and they deserve a brand of rugby which is exciting and entertaining to watch. We are already looking forward to the 2014/2015 season."
The Reds currently sit 10th in National League 2 South, just six points above Dings Crusaders who occupy the final relegation spot.
Redruth host high-flying Ampthill at the Recreation Ground this weekend.
