Motivation is never a problem for local derby games between the Cornish Pirates and Plymouth Albion, and this will again be the case on Saturday when the Pirates travel the short distance across the Tamar to Albion's Brickfields ground (ko 3pm).
This Devon versus Cornwall contest is also a seventh versus sixth clash in the Greene King IPA Championship, which all but guarantees a close encounter.
For the Pirates recent captain Chris Morgan misses out on this game because of injury, so Jake Parker is selected as blind-side flanker. There are also returns to the starting line-up for for prop Ben Prescott and hooker Tom Channon, plus Laurie McGlone who will partner nominated skipper Darren Barry in the second-row.
Ahead of the game Cornish Pirates' Director of Rugby, Ian Davies, said: “We have spent most of this week refining the things we need to get right, and hopefully both sides will be able to play good rugby in a keenly contested game that is entertaining to watch.”
