PENRYN u13s 34pts CAMBORNE u13s 17pts CAMBORNE opened the scoring with a well worked forwards' try, but it was the only real success enjoyed by the Cherry and Whites as the Borough hit back to take complete control.

Penryn could only put out 14 players, but the way they played it looked as if Penryn had 20 players on the pitch. The scrums and line-outs were even, but Penryn dominated in the rucks and mauls. It just seemed that Penryn wanted to win more.

The passing and interplay was something to enjoy watching and Adam Truen broke through three tackles to set the ball up for Joe Bassett to score the first of his three tries.

Within two minutes Penryn were over the try line again for the last score of the first half.

At the start of the second half it was all Penryn with Ed Gleadowe and Nathan Tullen gaining a lot of ground with their runs, but the best running came from Ned Hamling who scored two tries both from inside his own half.

The final Penryn try was a kick and chase with the Camborne full back trying to clear his ten metre line. He kicked the ball into the chest of Neil Broadbank who managed to control the ball and run in a fine try. Kit Winchester kicked the second of his conversions.

By this time, with Penryn winning quite well, they took their foot off the pedal and let Camborne in to score two more tries with one conversion.

New players are turning up to increase the size of the squad, and making players in the squad work harder to keep their places in the team. Training is Friday nights from 6 pm to 8 pm and Sunday mornings from 10.15 am to 12 noon.
