FALMOUTH II 0 MANNAMEAD II 7
FALMOUTH Hockey Club's second team travelled to Marjons to play Mannamead II, who are currently 2second in Trelawney League 3. Without several key players and only 10 available, this was always going to be a difficult match.
Mannamead did not manage to break through the Falmouth defence until midway through the first half when in a 10 minute period they snatched three goals. They added two more before half time and made it look as though they would chalk up a high- scoring victory in this match.
However, Falmouth had other ideas and regrouped at half time to put in a much stronger performance in the second half and came near to scoring themselves.
Mannamead were only able to add two further goals to their total, one being a penalty flick, making the final score 7-0.
Fleur Bunyan in the Falmouth goal had a busy game and put in a strong performance and newcomers Cally Grice and Kate Cadwell showed promising skills and playing well in their first games for Falmouth.
