AFTER losing in an entertaining match against Penryn Athletic on Wednesday, Helston were handed their second loss of the season on Saturday.
The South West Peninsula League West leaders fell 3-0 to the side sat in third place at the start of the day.
Despite the defeat, the Blues remain top of the table but their lead has shrunk to one point.
Illogan were able to move into second place above after Penryn, fresh from their 5-4 over Helston, drew 2-2 at Wadebridge Town with their goals coming from Dave Broglino and Ben Oliver.
At Gala Parc, Porthleven lost 3-1 to Holsworthy.
