HELSTON Athletic manager Sid Taylor has said how pleased he is to put their defeat to Penryn behind them and beat Dobwalls.
Having been in patchy form since their excellent start to the season, the three points at home will have been welcome.
Taylor said: “After losing last time against Penryn we were a bit frustrated and it was good to get back to winning ways.
“I’ve been telling the players the important thing is every team goes through losing spells, it’s important how you bounce back, and so far we have bounced back well. The league is very tight and it’s important to get belief back.
“The big test will come on Saturday against Penryn. I think that will answer a lot more questions, Penryn are a big step up.
“We have had a difficult time losing players and have tried out a new system. The players like playing with two wingers and we created a number of opportunities. We have also been a lot better defensively.
“When we played Penryn before, we were going through a bad spell. They also lost last weekend against Bude. We’re really keen to stay in the Senior Cup and will be trying everything to get through.”
