WENDRON u12s 0

THIRD-PLACED Falmouth Town Tigers played host to mid-table Wendron on Sunday needing a win to maintain their title challenge.

In the first half play went from end to end with neither side able to dominate possession and the nearest either side came to scoring was when midfielder Kieran Rodda found the net with a strong shot only for it to be ruled out for an earlier infringement.

Playing with the slope in the second half, Tigers soon began to dominate play and it was no surprise when Rodda broke the deadlock when he collected Ollie Williams' cross and placed it beyond the visiting 'keeper.

The home team continued to attack and were rewarded almost immediately with a second goal when Jack Thomas ran onto a good through ball before shooting past the advancing 'keeper.

The Tigers then put the game beyond doubt when defender Harry Pledger tucked away his first goal of the season before Jake Webb rounded off a good move by claiming the fourth goal.
