SOUTH West Peninsula League officials have confirmed Helston Athletic have applied for promotion to the Premier Division.
Alongside St Dennis, Sticker and Liskeard Athletic, the Kellaway Park outfit have expressed an interest in moving up to the top flight of the competition for the 2015/16 season.
A decision is due to be made on whether any of the clubs will be allowed to enter the division at some point over the next month.
League secretary Phil Hiscox said: "The next stage of the application process is for the ground grading sub-committee to visit each of the applicant clubs grounds, these visits will be conducted in late March/early April.
"The report of the grounds committees findings, together with clubs final league positions, will then go forward to the board so that final decisions on who is successful can be decided."
It has also been confirmed Mullion and Wendron United have applied for promotion to the SWPL West from the Jolly's Combination League.
