THE Tuesday league in the Taylor's Tyre Service Carn Brea five-a-side league saw Redruth United return to the summit with two wins. A 9-0 win against lowly Victoria Inn (Four Lanes) was followed by a 2-0 victory over Carn Entral United.
The latter had an unusually poor evening having gone down 4-3 to Untouchables earlier. The Untouchables made it six points for the evening with a 6-2 win over Victoria Inn.
Camborne Cricket Club propelled themselves back into the top four with two wins; a 2-1 victory against Jolly's followed by a 3-0 win against Boots of Hayle. They drew with Booters themselves 1 - 1. Jolly's concluded the evening with a 6- 3 triumph against the Redruth hairdressers.
The Thursday league saw Penmarth take the helm for the first time in a long while with two wins over Football News, a 5-1 win followed by a 4-1 victory.
Ferrets United moved into the top four with two victories against the young Falmouth All Stars; an 8-1 win led the way before an 8- 2 victory in the return. The fixtures saw Warrior take six points in two walkovers against no-show St Agnes Veterans.
