IT was business as usual for Porthleven as they racked up an impressive 10-1 win against struggling Trispen in the Whirlwind Sports Falmouth-Helston League division one.
Steve Williams led the way with five goals followed by Jordan Adlard, Matt Perry, Clayton Reynolds, Ian James, and Andy Mills.
Their nearest challengers, Hayle, lost ground when they beaten 2-0 at Mawnan. Damian Stevens missed a penalty before Ross Stevens and Duncan Whatmore scored the goals.
Holmans Res won a high-scoring game with Helston Res 4-3 after scoring through Scott Robinson (2), Mark Mitchell, and Les Simmons. L Eddy, S Rowland, and C Matthewsscored for Helston.
Matt McIlroy hit a hat-trick for Stithians in their 4-2 win against Truro City III. Tom Shaughnessy had the other goal.
In the Percy Stephens Cup division three Ruan Minor pulled off a superb 4-3 win away to division one side Penryn Athletic. Mark Kent, Steve Kemp and scored for Penryn.
Stuart Law scored twice for Trevenson United Res at Wendron, but it wasn't enough as Wendron won 4-2.
The biggest result in division two was St Day's 5-0 thumping of Falmouth Town III.
St Keverne maintained their impressive run with a 4-1 win against Rosudgen-Kenneggy. Alan Thomas (2), Adrian Topley, and John Smith had their goals.
Wendron III won 2-0 against Constantine and goals from Shaun May, Stuart Strong and an own goal eased Pendeen to a 3-2 win against Marazion.
Mawgan United overcame Perranwell Res 3-1 after Matt Ruse grabbed a brace to add to the own goal.
Perranporth Res and Hayle II drew 1-1 with Nick Holmes scoring for Perran.
Mike Cudlipp scored for Falmouth Albion Res in their division three match with RNAS Culdrose Res, but it was the visitors who ran out 2-1 winners.
One of Cornish football's all-time great goalscorers, Mark Rapsey, was at it again when he scored for Frogpool/Cusgarne in their 1-0 win at Hayle IV.
Mullion Res drew 1-1 with Falmouth Athletic Res after Andy Sharp scored for Mullion and Steve Coggin for Athletic.
Lanner won a narrow 2-1 verdict against Porthleven Rangers after scoring through Ryan Ault and Lee Goldstone.
