A TRIO of changes have been made to the Cornish Pirates starting XV for tomorrow's Greene King IPA Championship game against Jersey.
Stuart Townsend will be starting at scrum-half for what is to be their first match without the recently departed Tom Kessell, who left for Bristol a fortnight ago.
The changes also see Tom Channon starting as hooker, replacing Rob Elloway, and Jake Parker at number eight, replacing Matt Bolwell.
Tomorrow’s game is the penultimate away match of their season and having won their last two away fixtures at Nottingham and Bedford, the Pirates are looking to make it three in a row.
The Pirates have won their five previous league clashes with Jersey, but the Islanders showed what threat they pose in their last home game by defeating championship title chasers Worcester Warriors 23-21.
PIRATES XV: 15 Matt Evans, 14 Mike Pope, 13 Tom Hendrickson, 12 Alex Dancer, 11 Craig Holland, 10 Kieran Hallett, 9 Stuart Townsend; 1 Paul Andrew, 2 Tom Channon, 3 Alan Paver, 4 Laurie McGlone, 5 Darren Barry, 6 Chris Morgan, 7 Joe Atkinson, 8 Jake Parker.
