WENDRON United’s second team manager Peter Thorne has announced he is stepping away from the dugout after 30 years.
The popular figure at the club has coached sides from youth sections all the way up to senior players, but decided it was time to end his managerial career.
Thorne said: “There are no problems between me and the club, but I just feel it is time for a break.
“I have coached sides of all ages groups over the last 30 years and I would like to thank Josh Bray, Kevin Williamson and Alan Watson for their tremendous support over the years.
“I also want to thank my wife and daughter for their continued support.
“We have achieved a lot in the last 30 years and long may it continue.”
