PENRYN firsts have retained their Cornwall Netball Division One Champions title for a second successive season. The squad has only lost two games all season. Penryn were already confirmed as champions going into their final game of the season away to Saints Futures but wanted to end with a win.
With the opposition having a Premier One National player in the team the girls knew it would be a tough game and they would have to give it their all. The Penryn team dominated from the start and forced the opposition to make changes, final score was 54-35 to Penryn.
The squad has a few weeks break until May 17, when they will travel to UWE, Bristol for the South West Regional League qualification tournament. Qualification will mean that they will play in SW Regional League Three next season.
