City of Truro Rifle Club had a very busy weekend as they hosted the annual junior competition between Cornwall and Devon, the Powerham Cup, and the annual CTSA Indoor/Outdoor open competition on Sunday.
The weather was not too bad, overcast with a slight wind as shooters from all over Cornwall and Devon took part in this testing trial of skill and concentration.
In the Powerham Cup Cornwall's team, consisting of Rob Woolcock, Steph Lenney, Josh Head and Morgan Hurst, dropped just 211 points out of 1200 and Devon dropped 232 points, meaning the Cornwall Junior Team won.
The Indoor/Outdoor consists one set of two cards shot at 25 yards indoors and one set of two cards shot at 50 yards outdoors which, because of the change of conditions and range makes this a difficult competition to shoot. The overall aggregate results were:
